Long hard road, out of hell

Yep, that is right... the old brain and fingers are currently feverishly working on my latest project, a spin-off as it were from DANCING IN GRAVEYARDS, or at least a spin-off for one of the characters whom I had no idea would become so popular and beloved... Kailani.

The beautiful Hawaiian sea dragon will now be featured in a new novel that dives deeper into the myth of dragons, djinns, and other things that go bump or.. RAWR in the night.  I'm having fun writing it, and I hope my readers will have fun reading HELLBREAK once it is released to the public.  I am looking to go to print and have this one ready for stores in late October or early November.

Thanks for the fish!

Happy New Year!!!

I really just wanted to take a moment out to thank all of those that have purchased a copy of Dancing in Graveyards.  The feedback, positive and creative has really meant a lot to me.  Knowing that you all have enjoyed what I've put forth on paper...

I think one of the most rewarding things to hear as an author is a reader tell you they picked up your book and couldn't put it down, or couldn't wait for the next opportunity they would have to read more.  Knowing there are so many other novels you all could chose to spend your time reading, and that you've chosen to read mine means more than words can say and more than I can express.

So with that, thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Please feel free to continue to provide me with your feedback and if you feel so inclined post a review on amazon.com and share your opinion with others.  You never know, there might be someone out there deciding if they want to spend their hard earned money on Dancing in Graveyards, and your review might make the difference!

Published!

I've done it!  I am officially not just a writer with a dream but a published author!  Of course now comes the hard part of marketing and selling my creation.  I literally screamed when I did the title search on Amazon.com and got the results back.  Seeing the cover of my book is like nothing I've experienced this far in life.  Unforetunately I scared a couple months off the life of my guinea pig since the search and resulting scream took place in my bedroom where her cage is.

I have to admit I'm nervous about putting my work out there to be picked apart and criticized.  Of course that does go hand and hand with publishing, and I have to admit I am eager to hear what people think about what I've created.

While I realize there are literally dozens of books out there on the same genre, I'm hoping that people will see Dancing in Graveyards as it was meant to be, a unique creation and not a knock off of some of the other great authors that have touched the genre before me.

So with that, please... if you're interested in this genre, which if you're reading this page chances are, good you are, give Dancing in Graveyards a try and don't be bashful about posting your feedback and reviews.

Thanksgiving 2009 and When Technology Fails

The good news... Thanksgiving was awesom!

Of course any time spent with family, assuming you get along with said family, is time well spent in my opinion.  Cornish Hen, dressing, green beans, sweet potato casserole with pineapples and to wash it all down cream cheese pie.  Damn that was good.  I actually did most of the cooking this year.  In fact the only thing I didn't make was the dressing and the cornish hens.

Yep... life was good...

...right up until I plugged my flash drive in for some writing and found out the data was corrupted.  I'm still trying to figure what exactly went wrong, all I  know is the file names look like they were typed in Ancient Egyptian Hiroglyphs and I can't access any of the files.

Three chapters into the sequel to Dancing in Graveyards has gone up in smoke... *facepalms*

Yeah, it's a set back but a minor one.  I'm trying to look on the bright side.  It could have been half the novel instead of three chapters, right?  And I would have ended up revamping part of it, so this gives me a chance to look at what I would have changed and change it now.  At least that's what I'm telling myself to keep from strangling my flash drive.  Truth be told I'll probably end of strangling the flash drive anyway.

Technology... when it works, it really does make our lives 100x better, but when if fails... LOOK OUT BELOW!!!
